My house guest, Niecy!

Today, I will be welcoming my house guest, Niecy. I am cat-sitting her for a Reiki client, and friend, of mine. She actually belongs to my friends' daughter who only trusts me, her "Aunt Kimmie," to care for her.

Niecy's owners, Kylie and my Reiki client (her mommy) Britnee

I will be watching her through the entire next week while her owners are on their yearly vacation to Florida. She is such a sweet little gray and white tabby cat and so well behaved. I have been cat-sitting her for the past couple of years and always look forward to seeing her!

She is also a rescue kitty who happens to love people. I have a huge dog cage set up downstairs aside of my Reiki Room for her which is large enough to hold a litter box, water bowl, food dish and toys. I will be keeping her there during the day while I am at work and then I will socialize her after I get home by bringing her upstairs with the rest of us. This way, she is sure to get plenty of attention!

Meet Sam!

This is our little 4-year old Dwarf Bunny, Sam. Like all of the other rabbits we have had in the past, Sam was a rescue bunny. My hubby and I came home from a Fourth of July picnic a couple of years ago and there he was hopping around in your front yard along with his buddy ~ another white and brown dwarf whom we named Sidney.

We ended up getting a good home for Sid and, of course, keeping Samuel.  Sam is such a character! He uses a litterbox, although I never had to train him to do so like my other rabbits. When he is hungry, he will literally stomp on the floor of his cage until I come and feed him. He loves the cats ~ most especially Midnight. And the feeling is mutual as Midnight loves to keep him company by lying aside of his cage almost every day ...

My dad just loves Sam!

This is Sid (Sam's brother) having some fun watching TV with his new daddy, Dustin!

What can I say? I'm a real sucker for cats and rabbits!!! LOL!!!

A Cat's Prayer

A Cat's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep...
I sleep right in the center groove
My human can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
My nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly, I have sharp teeth -
And my claws I will unsheath
For the morning's here and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs me and holds me tight
And sacrifices her bed at night.
