Trip to New Hope, PA

Greetings, my friends! Yesterday my hubby, my sister Aurora Skye, her husband, and I took a lovely trip to one of our favorite places ~ New Hope, PA. This was Aurora's hubby's first time visiting there and we enjoyed such a beautiful fall day!

New Hope is located in Bucks County, just shy of the New Jersey border. In fact, there is a bridge right off of Main Street in New Hope village which takes you directly into Jersey.

It is filled with dozens of independently owned shops and food establishments which range from the usual to the more unusual. We always love to check out what's new at the awesome witch shops of "Gypsy Heaven" ...

And, "Mystickal Tymes" where we always have the pleasure of spending some time with "Morganna," the owner Eric's beloved kitty and favorite long-time store mascot who is an amazing 20 years old!

While shopping there, I also came across some wonderful purchases ...

As well as great shops and delicious food, New Hope offers a variety of fun and interesting things to do such as ...

New Hope & Ivyland Rail Road tours

and The Bucks County Playhouse

Christmas Past

I decided to pick up a healing candle for our cat, Kiki, while we were in "Gypsy Heaven" to aid in my Pet Protection Spell I plan on performing for her in conjunction with her meds we have been giving her from our vet to help her get well again.

After a really beautiful day of family, friends and shopping, it was time to get back to reality. Tomorrow, it's back to work again already.

Getting ready for Beltane

Greetings all! With the up-coming sabbat of Beltane this week, I have been fairly busy adding some finishing touches on my seasonal decorations and preparing my altar for my sister, Aurora Skye, and I as we are planning on celebrating Beltane this year ~ just the two of us.

It is always a special occasion when we are able to find the quality time to spend with both of our hectic schedules these days. Beltane is, in short, the celebration which comes after Ostara/Spring Equinox and represents the sacred marriage of the Lord and Lady or Goddess and God. The name is derived from the Celtic fire god, "Bel" and was also the time of the year for purification ~ two large bonfires were made and the farm animals such as cattle were walked between them to rid them of any parasites.

As for Leo, the newest member of our family, he is still playful as ever and is trying to figure out exactly were he fits in with the rest of his feline siblings ...

Ostara Blessings and an Update!

Our new family member seems to be adjusting fairly well to the rest of our fur baby clan. Of course as usual, Haley is making things extremely difficult as she had been getting much more aggressive towards all of the other cats since we brought Leo into the living room, cage in toe. We have, unfortunately had to place her in the catio (our enclosed porch) for the weekend. She is currently now in the cage instead of Leo because we do not wish to throw him into the "lion's den" so to speak around her quite yet.  It has been a three-ring circus to say the least.

One thing we have noticed which is interestingly funny is that every breakfast and dinner time, the girls eat in the kitchen and the guys are eating in the dining room (aka our living room as we have no actual dining room). LOL!

Moving on, yesterday my sister Aurora Skye and I celebrated Ostara as Friday (the first day of spring) turned out to be yet another snow day leaving us 6 inches in our area. Hopefully, it was the last of this relentless winter weather!

Unlike Friday, we had a gorgeous day here in Reading, Pennsylvania! A wonderful day for our ritual indeed!

After which, we spent the remainder of the day of beautiful weather as provided by the Lord and Lady doing a bit of sister shopping!

BLESSED  SUNDAY  EVERYONE!!
